Artist's Statement

PriscillaHairMy work as a quilter, which began in a very traditional way, has changed and grown over the years - just as the world has changed. I find that the peace I feel as my quilts grow counteracts the humdrum but often frenetic world. Many of my quilts illustrate the oneness of man and how alike all men are - despite their often monumental differences.

All men are more alike than they are different. My work is an effort to illustrate the common thread through all cultures and suspend - even if only for a moment - the differences that divide man.
